There is currently no guideline on the optimal treatment regimen for patients with MOGAD at disease onset. Several works have shown that MOGAD patients have significant corticosteroid response and may be corticosteroid dependent. In this context, knowing the best corticosteroid treatment regimen is essential to reduce adverse reactions and induce disease remission or avoid relapse. In this interesting work, Trewin et Al. in a retrospective multicenter cohort study that included 109 MOGAD patients, demonstrated that the optimal dose to delays time to first relapse is 12,5 mg of prednisone daily in adults (0.16 mg/kg/day in children) for a minimum of 3 months at disease onset.
