About Torino

Torino

The meeting will be held in Torino, a thousand-year-old city with a thousand faces, rich in splendours of the past; it was the First Capital of Italy, the cradle of the Risorgimento, the innovation hub of the Italian automobile and film industry, and is a city rich in art and culture.

Dynamic and baroque, Torino captivates with its architectural and monumental wonders, art galleries, international events and good traditional food. From chocolate on down. Piedmont’s capital is rich in palaces that are symbols of its history.
The imposing residences of Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Madama, in which kings and nobles from all over Europe have lived, frame one of the city’s main squares, Piazza Castello. The Basilica of Superga, the Gran Madre, the Cathedral are impressive religious buildings that are the result of ingenious architects; not forgetting that the Holy Shroud is kept in the Cathedral. Home to the Egyptian Museum, second only to that of Il Cairo, and the Cinema Museum in the Mole Antonelliana, the symbol of the city, it is considered one of the greenest cities in Europe for its beautiful parks.

But Torino is not only this; Torino is also a magical and mysterious city full of monuments and legends with esoteric significance. As a backdrop, the Alps, site of the 2006 Winter Olympics from which we got inspired for the slogan of this AINI congress: “Neuroimmunology passion lives here”.
